Corsets & You
One of the most common comments we get at events is "Where would I ever wear that?" A lot of people have a misconception that a corset is strictly for the bedroom, or maybe Halloween. And yes, corsets are a sexy addition to the lingerie drawer. They can also vamp up almost any costume idea. But a corset can be dressed up or dressed down for anything from a smart work outfit to a night on the town. We love pairing a fitted corset with a neutral pair of slacks and wearing over a white button down shirt. Or wearing a corset under a blazer. You can always mix up your work attire with a corset and accent pieces. And a corset with your 'good butt' jeans is a staple for the club or bar scene. If you're not as daring, this look is still great with a tank top or T-shirt underneath.
The second most common comment we hear is "If I only had the body to wear that!" What a shame we have to hear this; it breaks our hearts! Corsets look great on anyone, especially our curvy sisters. Your waist is emphasized, your curves are flattered, and if you get the correct fit and cut, a corset can comfortably change the entire shape of your body. So if you think you don't have the body to pull off the look, it's only your self consciousness holding you back. For a fuller figure, choose a cut with a lower waist, preferably over the hip or where your waist band sits. A sweet heart neckline is best suited for a fuller bust rather than a small bust, but a straight or scoop neckline works well too.
